Security Upgrade Initiatives
We are nearing the end of a multi year initiative to increase data security across the district. Data breaches and ransomware are serous matters for school districts. Schools are often targeted by hackers with data ransom demands and the Show Low Unified School District does not want fall victim to those kinds of attacks. Our multi year efforts have focused on the following.

• Security awareness training

• Phish attack testing and reporting

• Automated data auditing and response

23-24 Erate Application
The application process for the upcoming year has begun. The form 470 filing to initiate that process is the first step and will be completed soon. After the 470 is posted and closed we will post more information about that projects details.

22-23 Erate network equipment upgrades
We also have an approved 2022-2023 Erate project that we will use to upgrade network equipment equipment on three campuses and to finalize our wireless upgrades at WRE, and the Junior High

21-22 Erate wireless upgrades
We have an 2021-2022 Erate project to completely refresh the wireless equipment at 4 of our 6 campuses; HS, WMI, NHE, and LES
